Window Tinting in Workington: A West-Coast Port Town
Window tinting in Workington for homes and businesses: professional film fitted to the inside of your existing windows to cut heat and glare, add privacy, slow fading and make glass harder to break. One-way film lets you keep the view and lose the audience, as long as you remember it reverses after dark. Anti-glare film evens out harsh daylight so screens, tills and televisions can be read without closing the blinds.
Whatever the building, we match the film to the problem rather than selling one film for everything. Warranty is ten years or more on most films, issued by the manufacturer. We work in Whitehaven, Maryport and Cockermouth and across Cumbria.

Workington: the glass we see and what it needs
Workington is a west-coast port town with industrial sites, offices and terraced streets.
Sites and terraces
Industrial sites want one-way film on reception and office glass. Terraces want front-room privacy. Any job here includes travel, shown clearly, so grouping units or neighbours is the way to make it worthwhile.

Workington window film: how the price works
Prices are built from the area of glass. At roughly £60 per square metre for entry-level film and £95 for Solar Gard, the arithmetic is simple. Worked through, a garden office at about 8 square metres starts at £480 with entry-level film and £760 with Solar Gard, a bay window at about 3.5 starts at £210 and £330, and a kitchen window at about 1.2 starts at £70 and £115.
You will have a fixed written price after the survey, and no obligation to go ahead. Tall mill and industrial windows need a tower or platform, which is added to the quote. A comparable job is our Haydock one. The window film prices page has an estimator you can play with.
Workington window film questions
Do you cover Workington?
Yes, with travel shown clearly. Cumbria is the furthest part of our area, so we are open about how it works: travel is shown clearly in the quote, larger jobs are planned over a few days and grouping rooms, units or neighbouring properties lowers the cost per job. The survey and the fixed written quote are free.
Can you group several units?
Yes. Grouping units on the same estate or site makes the visit simpler and the quote clearer, and we plan the sequence so each unit is disrupted for as little time as possible.
How long does window film last?
Most professionally fitted film outlasts a decade. Offices get long hours of strong light, and film is built to cope with that for many years. The films we use are covered by manufacturer's warranties of 10 years or more, and in our experience Solar Gard in particular often keeps going beyond its warranty. Sun exposure, cleaning habits and glass type all play a part.
Can window film be removed?
Yes, and cleanly. Offices are often leased, so it helps that film leaves the glass as it found it. We warm the film, peel it and clear the adhesive from the glass, so the window is left as it was. If you simply want a different look, we can fit a new film over the same glass. See film removal and replacement.
