Window Tinting in Stretford: Terraces, Retail Parks and the Mersey Edge
Whether it is a house, shop or office, window tinting in Stretford starts with a visit, a few samples held against your glass and a fixed price. It is applied to the inside of the glass, which keeps the weather off it and the cost well below replacement windows.
We fit homes and shops alike, from a single window to a full building. Warranty is ten years or more on most films, issued by the manufacturer. We are regularly in Old Trafford, Trafford Park and Urmston, and anywhere else in Greater Manchester.

What we find in Stretford
Stretford is terraced streets, retail parks, the sports grounds and a busy centre, with the river and the canal at its edge. It is an urban place with a lot of passing trade.
Start with the problem in Stretford
Retail frontage and terraced fronts
The retail units have big glass fronts that face car parks, where heat in summer and glare on the counter are the usual issues, and where graphics carry a lot of the marketing. The terraces want front-room privacy. A neutral solar film handles the units, and one-way film by day handles the terraces.

Privacy at the back and side of the house without losing daylight. What to know before booking in Stretford
- Flats over shops
- Many shops have flats above. The shop glass is the tenant's concern, but flats above may need a managing agent's say, and we can supply the data sheet they ask for.
- Terraces close to the tram
- Streets near the tram stops have narrow pavements and front windows almost at street level. Privacy film on the ground floor is the usual request, and it costs a fraction of replacing glass.
- Flats above shops
- Flats above the shops often need the landlord's agreement. We supply a data sheet and a plain description of the work, and a near-clear film is usually the easiest to approve.
Stretford window film: how the price works
Our starting rates are about £60 per square metre for entry-level film and £95 for Solar Gard, and the fitting is included in both. A few typical jobs show how it adds up. Three-panel patio doors: about 6 m², from £360 (entry-level) or £570 (Solar Gard). A bathroom window: about 0.6 m², from £35 or £55. A pair of French doors: about 4 m², from £240 or £380.
No charge for the survey, and the price is fixed once we have seen the glass. For a shopfront the glass area is usually modest, and we fit outside trading hours at no extra charge. You can see how a similar job looked in our Bolton job. You can also try the estimator on the window film prices page.
Stretford window film questions
Can film go on a retail unit's glazed door?
Yes. Safety or solar film, depending on the aim. We film the door and the shopfront with a matching film so the front looks consistent. Both security and safety film are clear on the glass, are backed by manufacturer test data and sit on the inside, so the building looks the same while the glass becomes much harder to defeat.
Can you fit outside trading hours?
Yes. We can work evenings, weekends and closed days, and we agree the timing and access with you in advance. Most shopfronts are done before opening and offices over a weekend, so there is no loss of trade.
How long does window tinting take in Stretford?
Most jobs are quicker than people expect. A shopfront in Stretford is usually finished in a morning, before the doors open. A single window takes minutes, a bay an hour or two, a typical house a day and a shopfront a morning. Large glass, glass roofs or big commercial sites take longer, and we confirm the time in the quote.
Can I still see out through tinted windows?
Yes. For a shop window the aim is that customers still see the display clearly, which light and clear films preserve. In daylight you see out clearly through every film we fit except frosted film. Light films hardly change the view, reflective films tone it down and one-way films give people outside a mirror while you keep your view. After dark with lights on, mirror films reverse, so use blinds or frosted film for evening privacy.
