Window Tinting in Longridge: A Stone Town Under the Fell
Homes and businesses in Longridge come to us for window tinting when the glass is letting in too much sun or too many eyes. Film is the simple answer: no new windows, no mess, a result that lasts. Because the film is fitted to existing windows, it is quicker and far cheaper than new glass, and it can be taken off again later.
We fit homes and businesses, so whichever you are, the process is the same: a free survey, samples on your glass and one fixed price. A typical house takes a day, and we clear up as we go. Whether you are in Ribchester, Clitheroe and Chipping or elsewhere in Lancashire, you get the same survey and the same fixed price.

Start with the problem in Longridge
Views across the valley
Stone houses facing the valley want a view kept, and light neutral or near-clear film does that. Older windows lose some heat, and thermal film helps a little. A small centre has shops that want UV film.

Costs for window tinting in Longridge
Window film costs are worked out per square metre of glass, with supply and fitting together. Entry-level film starts near £60, Solar Gard near £95. Take a kitchen window: at about 1.2 m² that is £70 to £115. A pair of French doors is closer to 4 m², so £240 to £380, and three-panel patio doors at about 6 m² runs from £360 to £570.
No charge for the survey, and the price is fixed once we have seen the glass. If your windows are raised or awkward to reach, we allow for that in the figure. You can also try the estimator on the window film prices page.
Longridge window film questions
Will film keep my view?
Yes. Not if you choose well. One-way, reflective and light neutral films all keep a clear view out in daylight. A darker film changes the view more, which is why we hold samples against your own window, at the time of day you use the room, before you decide.
How long does window film last?
Professionally fitted film typically lasts ten years or more. Exposed hillside sites see harsh weather, but film is on the inside of the glass and is not touched by it. Most of our films carry a 10-year manufacturer's warranty, and Solar Gard often outlasts its warranty. Cleaning with a soft cloth and an ammonia-free cleaner helps it last.
Can window film be removed?
Yes. Shops in Longridge are often leased, and removable film is one of the few improvements you can take with you. Film can be taken off, usually leaving the glass clean, and replaced with a different film if your needs change, which suits rented homes and leased premises.
