Window Tinting in Kirkham: A Small Market Town on the Fylde
If a room in Kirkham is too hot, too bright or on show to the street, window tinting is usually the cheapest cure. We fit solar, privacy, frosted, UV and security films to homes and commercial premises. One-way film lets you keep the view and lose the audience, as long as you remember it reverses after dark. Where the afternoon sun makes a room unusable, solar control film turns back much of the heat before it gets into the room.
We can often say from photos whether film will help and roughly what it would cost. Every job starts with a free survey, and the price you are quoted afterwards is fixed in writing. We work in Freckleton, Wesham and Warton and across Lancashire.

Heat, glare and privacy for the rear living space.Kirkham: local things that affect the job
- Estates built since the 1970s
- Newer estates round the town centre have large rear doors facing small gardens. A light neutral film takes the heat out of the kitchen extension without changing how the room looks.
- Poulton Street and the market town centre
- Kirkham's main street has independent shops, cafes and estate agents with glass fronts facing the road. UV film protects displays and graphics carry the name, usually fitted before opening.
What window film costs in Kirkham
There is no day rate or hidden extras on the film itself: it is a price per square metre, from roughly £60 for entry-level film and £95 for Solar Gard. Take a bay window: at about 3.5 m² that is £210 to £330. A pair of French doors is closer to 4 m², so £240 to £380, and a glazed front door and side panels at about 2.5 m² runs from £150 to £240.
For a shopfront the glass area is usually modest, and we fit outside trading hours at no extra charge. The survey costs nothing, and the quote that follows is fixed. Rough figures for other jobs are on the window film prices page.
Kirkham window film questions
Can neighbours do it together?
Yes. Neighbours often book together, and it makes sense: we measure each house, quote each one separately and fit them on the same visit, so you share the travel and set-up. Tell us who else is interested and we will plan it.
How long does window film last?
Professionally fitted film typically lasts ten years or more. A shopfront in Kirkham sees sun all day, which is the toughest test film faces and the one it is designed for. Most of our films carry a 10-year manufacturer's warranty, and Solar Gard often outlasts its warranty. Cleaning with a soft cloth and an ammonia-free cleaner helps it last.
Can window film be removed?
Yes, and cleanly. Shops in Kirkham are often leased, and removable film is one of the few improvements you can take with you. We warm the film, peel it and clear the adhesive from the glass, so the window is left as it was. If you simply want a different look, we can fit a new film over the same glass.
