Window Tinting in Great Harwood: A Hyndburn Town of Estates and Terraces
If a room in Great Harwood is too hot, too bright or on show to the street, window tinting is usually the cheapest cure. We fit solar, privacy, frosted, UV and security films to homes and commercial premises. Where neighbours or passers-by can see in, one-way film fixes it for the daytime without darkening the room much. For south and west-facing glass, solar control film is usually the first thing to try: it takes the heat out of the room and softens the glare at the same time.
Most jobs are finished in a day, and often in a morning. Prices start at around £60 per square metre for entry-level film, with Solar Gard from £95 and 3M from £300; the survey tells you exactly where your job falls. From Accrington, Clayton-le-Moors and Rishton out to the edges of Lancashire, the process is the same.

Window film prices around Great Harwood
Start with the rate: about £60 per square metre for entry-level film, about £95 for Solar Gard, supplied and fitted. To put numbers on it, a bay window of about 3.5 m² would start at £210 (entry-level) or £330 (Solar Gard). For a bathroom window, around 0.6 m², think £35 to £55. For the front windows of a typical house, around 10 m², think £600 to £950.
We fix the price in writing once we have measured your windows, at no charge for the visit. Tall mill and industrial windows need a tower or platform, which is added to the quote. You can see how a similar job looked in our Euxton job. The window film prices page has an estimator you can play with.
Great Harwood window film questions
Can neighbours do it together?
Yes. Doing neighbouring houses or units together keeps the visit simple and reduces the cost per job. Tell us who else is interested and we will quote each one separately and fit them on the same visit.
Can you work on units?
Yes. Grouping neighbouring houses, units or rooms keeps the visit simple and reduces the cost per job. Tell us who else is interested and we will quote each one separately and fit them on the same visit.
Which film is best for keeping a room cool?
Solar control film is the one for heat. Estate houses with big south or west-facing patio doors usually heat up first, so that is where film pays back most. Reflective films reject the most and add daytime privacy. Light neutral films keep the glass looking clear. Near-clear premium films give strong heat rejection with almost no tint. We bring each to the survey so you can judge the room.
Can I fit window film myself?
Many people try DIY film on a small window first. Tall mill and industrial windows are out of reach without a tower or platform, which is not a DIY job. For anything large, tall or visible, a professional fit is worth it: the film is cut to the pane, applied in a controlled way, finished at the edges and guaranteed. A poor DIY job can also be difficult to take off.
