Window Tinting in Cheshire: Villages, Market Towns and Business Parks
Window tinting in Cheshire: we supply and fit residential and commercial window film across the county, applied to the inside of existing windows, doors, conservatories and shopfronts. Large village houses, historic market towns and busy business parks make Cheshire a county of very different glass, and film is chosen building by building.

Cheshire: the glass we see and what it needs
Cheshire has the most varied glass in our area. There are large houses in Wilmslow, Alderley Edge and Lymm with big extensions and bigger gardens, historic market towns such as Knutsford, Nantwich and Chester with buildings that need careful handling, hill towns on the edge of the Peak District, and, in Warrington and along the motorways, business parks, depots and gatehouses.
This page is the county starting point: what the work looks like in each part of Cheshire, which of our jobs are near you and where to find your own town.
Do you cover my part of Cheshire?
Yes. We work across the whole county, from Warrington and Lymm in the north to Crewe and Nantwich in the south, and from Chester in the west to Macclesfield in the east. Our published jobs cluster in the north and the Wilmslow, Alderley Edge and Knutsford belt, but the survey, the samples and the fixed price work the same everywhere.
Three kinds of Cheshire glass
Villages and larger homes
Wilmslow, Alderley Edge, Knutsford, Lymm and the villages between them: big extensions, bi-fold doors, glass rooms and period villas. Heat and glare, privacy at the front, security on large houses.
Historic towns and conservation areas
Chester's Rows, Knutsford's King Street, Nantwich's timber-framed streets. The film is on the inside, but what it does to the look from the street matters, and consent may be needed.
Business parks, depots and gatehouses
Warrington, Birchwood, Northwich, Crewe: site offices, gatehouses, reception areas and unit glass. Privacy from the yard, glare on screens and film that works on a live site.

Runcorn and Widnes
People often think of Runcorn and Widnes as Merseyside, but they are in Halton, which is part of Cheshire. We cover both, and you will find them listed here. They sit either side of the Mersey, with a long industrial history, and the work there looks more like our Warrington commercial work than our Wirral work.
Listed buildings, conservation areas and the larger house
Cheshire has more conservation areas and listed buildings than most places we work, from Chester city centre to Knutsford's streets and the villages round them. Film on the inside of the glass is usually straightforward, but a reflective finish changes how a building looks from the street and can need consent. We say so at the survey, and offer a near-clear or light neutral film where appearance matters.
On the larger houses, security film deserves a mention. It is clear, it holds a cracked pane in its frame, and it suits exactly the patio doors, French doors and glazed side entrances that big Cheshire houses have in numbers. See security window film.

Cheshire window tinting questions
Do I need consent in a Cheshire conservation area?
Often not for film on the inside, but a reflective finish that changes how the building looks can need consent, and listed buildings are stricter. A near-clear film changes the look far less. Rules differ by building and by council. Reversible film applied to the inside of the glass is often acceptable, but listed status, a conservation area or a lease can change that. We tell you at the survey where we think consent may be needed, and we provide data sheets and a work description to support an application.
Is security film worth it on a large house?
On patio doors, French doors and glazed side entrances, yes. It holds a cracked pane in its frame, and it is clear. Large houses tend to have a lot of ground-floor glass, so it is a sensible, discreet layer of protection.
Can you work on a live site in Warrington or Crewe?
Yes. We follow your site rules, and our fitters carry site cards and access training. We work on live sites and in occupied buildings, following your induction, vehicle routes, permits and security rules. Our fitters carry CSCS, IPAF and PASMA cards, and larger jobs are planned in stages so operations carry on.
What does it cost?
Entry-level film starts at about £60 per square metre, Solar Gard at £95 and 3M at £300. See our window film prices. The final figure depends on the glass area, the access needed and the film you choose, and we fix it in writing after a free survey, so there are no surprises.
Where can I see your work near me?
The table above links to the jobs in each part of the county, and our work page has them all. Each job page has photos, the film used, the type of glass and what the customer wanted, so you can compare with your own windows. If you would like to see film on real glass before deciding, we also bring samples to the survey and hold them against your own windows.
Why use a specialist window film fitter?
Window film is a specialist trade. On older or protected buildings in Cheshire, a poor DIY job can be difficult to take off old glass without damage. Film cut to the pane and applied wet in a clean way has no bubbles, creases or gaps and is warranted, whereas a poor DIY job is hard to remove. Our fitters are employed by us, and insured, and fit film every day.
Which areas of Cheshire do you cover?
We cover the whole of Cheshire, from the larger towns and city centres to villages and rural properties. Choose your town in the list above to see local jobs and what we fit near you, or tell us the address and we will confirm. The survey is free wherever you are.
Is there a warranty on window film?
Most films we fit carry a manufacturer-backed warranty of 10 years or more, and entry-level films carry a 10-year warranty. Older windows are often single glazed or thin, so we choose a film that reflects more than it absorbs to keep both glass and film in good order. We hand over the paperwork when the job is finished. Solar Gard in particular often outlasts its warranty.
