A shopfront that needed to work for the brand
An estate agent is a shop-window business. The front glass has to look right to people walking past, and inside, the staff need to be able to see screens and talk to clients.
The office had black-framed windows on two floors and a pair of glazed doors at the entrance, plus a glass partition inside and two small windows at the back. The glass needed controlling and the brand needed showing.
Three kinds of film
We used three. Reflective solar film went on the front windows and entrance doors, to cut glare and heat. A logo graphic was applied to the entrance doors and to the large internal glass partition. Frosted film with the company logo cut out of it went on the two rear windows.
The result is that the front is mirror-like in sun, and the office interior shows through in overcast light, as the two sets of exterior photos show.

Film and graphics are different jobs with different skills. The logo cut-outs were made first and applied to the frosted film before it was put up, so the lettering lines up with the glass.
- Front windows: filmed across both floors, with the black frames giving a clean trim line.
- Entrance doors: film and logo graphics together, so the branding is on the glass people walk through.
- Partition: a large logo graphic applied to the glass of the internal wall, with the desks behind it.
- Rear windows: frosted film with a cut-out logo, on the two small windows.
An office that looks branded
The front of the building has a coherent look, with reflective glass and logo doors. Inside, the partition and rear windows pick up the same logo.
It is a good example of film being used as a design and branding tool, as well as a solar and privacy one.
