Solar Gard is the film we have fitted since we started, and it is still one of our favourites. It is made in the USA by a company owned by Saint-Gobain, one of the largest glass and building materials manufacturers in the world, and it covers most of what homes and businesses ask for.
We fit it across the North West, from £95 per square metre. It is one of several brands we use, and here is why it is our regular choice. If you are looking for Solar Gard window film in the North West, we work in Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Merseyside, Lancashire and Cumbria, and in the cities of Manchester, Salford, Liverpool, Chester, Preston, Lancaster and Carlisle.

We have used Solar Gard for as long as we have been fitting film, which means we know how it behaves on all kinds of glass. It is a high-quality film, it is consistent from roll to roll and the ranges cover the things people actually ask for.
In our experience it also usually lasts well beyond its warranty. Most Solar Gard products carry a manufacturer's warranty of 10 years or more, and we confirm the term for the specific film in writing with your quote.

Solar Gard makes films for several jobs, and we use it for most of them. There are solar control films for heat and glare, privacy films for one-way and frosted looks, and safety and security films for glazing that needs to hold together.
Which one is right depends on the room, the glass and the result you want, so we choose with you at the survey. The same film does not suit a conservatory roof and a ground-floor patio door.
Each range has its place. Entry-level films, mostly Opalux, start at £60 per square metre and suit smaller jobs and tighter budgets. 3M starts at £300 and suits glass where performance and appearance matter most. See 3M window film.
Solar Gard sits between them, and it does the job well for the great majority of homes and businesses. That is why it is our regular choice, not our only one.
