A shopfront that looks straight in
A beauty salon is a shop where the clients do not necessarily want to be seen. The window runs the full width of the front, and the door is glass, so the people in the chairs are on view.
On a retail parade with a car park in front, a lot of people pass.
Reflective film on window and door
We filmed the three-pane window and the glazed door with a reflective film. The photos show it mirroring the car park, and the salon's signage above it stays untouched.
The effect is that the window shows the street, and the salon gets privacy and less glare.
Three panes and a door
A shopfront window is the most looked-at piece of glass in the business, so the finish is important. We cleaned each pane carefully and applied the film so that it runs cleanly along the frames of the three panes and the door.
The door is used all day, so we pressed the edges down firmly.
Privacy in the day, a clean look all day
The shopfront reads as a block of mirrored glass beneath the signage. It looks neat, and inside the salon, there is less glare and more privacy during opening hours.
AfterQuestions about shopfront film
Will clients still see my signage?
Yes. Film goes on the glass only. Signage above or on the front is separate.
Can film be fitted outside opening hours?
Yes. We can fit in the evening or at a weekend, so you lose no trading time.
Is reflective film right for a salon?
In daylight it gives privacy and cuts glare. If clients need full privacy at all hours, frosted film is an alternative, and we can use both.
