A cabin made of windows
A gatehouse has windows on every side, by design: the person inside has to see the road, the barrier and the yard. That makes the cabin a greenhouse in sun and a goldfish bowl to the people driving in.
It is also a place where someone sits for hours at a time.
Mirror film on the sliding windows and door
We filmed the sliding windows on three sides and the glazed door with a reflective solar film. The photos show it mirroring the access road, and the cabin looks like a block of dark mirror glass.
From inside, the view of the road and gate stays clear.
AfterSliding windows and a small footprint
Sliding windows have to keep sliding. We filmed the glass and trimmed the film away from the runners and seals, so the windows open and close freely. A shaded rear window still shows items on the sill, which is a normal result where light falls differently.
The entrance canopy, mesh fence and open door in the photos show the working environment.
A cabin that is easier to sit in
The six photos show the gatehouse from different sides, all evenly filmed. The cabin looks tidy, and the person inside has less heat and glare.

Will staff see out at night?
Reflective film is made for daylight. After dark, with the cabin lights on, you see more of your own reflection. For 24-hour cabins we usually recommend a lower-reflectivity film and say so in the quote.
Can sliding windows still slide?
Yes. We film the glass and trim clear of the runners.
Is it suitable for portable cabins?
Yes. Cabins are a common job, and we can film one on site in a short visit.
