Offices that look out onto the yard
A site office on an industrial yard sits in the middle of the activity. Its windows face lorries, skips and car parks, and anyone in the yard can look straight into the meeting rooms and offices.
Staff were also working with glare on screens from the low sun across an open site.
One-way film on every window
We fitted one-way film to the windows round the whole building, so the finish is the same on every side. The outside photos show it mirroring the yard, the skips and the car park, and the inside photos show the view out is clear.
The outside photos show the mirror effect, and the inside photos show how clear the view out is.

AfterA long building with a lot of windows
The whole building was done, window by window, so the finish is the same on every side.
- Offices: open-plan windows on two walls, and desks next to windows.
- Meeting rooms: four windows in one room, which were the most important for privacy.
- Staff room: windows and a half-glazed fire exit door.
- Top openers: filmed around, so they still work.
- Site: the fire assembly point and the yard routes stayed clear while we worked.
A site office that is private and still bright
From the yard, the whole building looks like a continuous run of mirror windows. Inside, the meeting room, the open-plan office and the staff room have a clear view out, with glare reduced at the desks.
Twelve photos cover it from outside and in.

Can you film a site that is running?
Yes. We work around the site's routes and safety rules, and fit evenings and weekends if quieter hours suit.
Will staff still see out in the evening?
In daylight, yes, easily. After dark with lights on, the effect reverses, and people outside can see in. We discuss that before choosing the film.
What about fire exit glass?
Fire-rated glass is tested as a complete unit, and film can affect it. We check the glass specification before filming anything in a fire door or screen.
