Office Window Tinting Across the North West
An office with the sun on every screen by mid-afternoon is an expensive place to work. People lower the blinds, switch the lights on and turn the air conditioning up, and the room ends up dark, hot and uncomfortable all at once.
Window film fixes the cause at the glass. We fit it in offices of every size across the North West, from a corner office to a whole floor, usually without anyone moving. Office window tinting is available throughout the North West, from Manchester and Salford in Greater Manchester to Chester in Cheshire, Liverpool in Merseyside, Preston and Lancaster in Lancashire and Carlisle in Cumbria.

Film, blinds or air conditioning
They are often treated as alternatives. They do different things.
What window film does
- Cuts heat and glare at the glass, all day, without anyone touching it
- Keeps the view and the daylight
- Eases the load on cooling in summer
- Goes on glass you already have
What it does not do
- Replace blinds for the lowest sun or a blackout
- Replace air conditioning in a sealed or heavily loaded building
- Fix a poorly laid out desk plan

Open-plan, corner offices and meeting rooms
The brief changes with the room. In an open-plan office the issue is usually west-facing glass and screens. A corner office takes sun on two sides, as the wrap-around windows in our Altrincham job did. Meeting rooms, on the other hand, are more often about privacy than heat.
We normally start with the windows that cause the most complaints and quote the rest as an option. Film on one elevation can change the whole floor.
Glass partitions and internal windows
A glass partition lets light travel through an office and gives no privacy at all. A frosted band across the middle gives privacy at seated and standing eye level, leaves the glass above and below clear and acts as a marker on the glass. Our Salford Quays job is a good example, seen from both sides.
Where two offices share a window, one-way film can make one side private. Our Stockport job did exactly that, with a large internal window turned into a mirror from the front office. See privacy film and manifestation film.

Offices across the North West
We fit office film in city-centre buildings in Manchester and Liverpool, business parks in Warrington and Birchwood, and town-centre offices across Cheshire, Lancashire and Cumbria. Out-of-hours fitting means most offices lose no working time.
Offices across the North West suffer the same glare and heat, whichever city they are in. In Greater Manchester we work in the glass towers and converted warehouses of Manchester and Salford and the business parks beyond. In Cheshire the work covers Chester's offices and the parks around Warrington and Wilmslow, in Merseyside Liverpool's waterfront and commercial district, and in Lancashire the offices of Preston and Lancaster. In Cumbria we cover Carlisle and the market towns.
Office work is usually done at weekends or in the evening, so the floor is back to normal for Monday. That works the same way in Manchester, Liverpool, Chester or Preston as it does in Carlisle, although for Cumbria and the far north of Lancashire we plan visits over a few days. We fit offices across Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Merseyside, Lancashire and Cumbria, with a free survey and a fixed price. See the areas we cover in the North West.
Office window film questions
Can you fit film while staff are in?
Yes. Fitting is quiet and clean, and we work one section at a time. If you would rather have an empty office, we also fit evenings and weekends.
Will it make the office dark?
Not unless you pick a dark film. A light or neutral film removes the glare and keeps the daylight.
Can film go on glass partitions?
Yes. Frosted bands, patterns and logos all work well on partitions.
Will it save energy?
It reduces solar heat through the glass, which can ease the load on cooling in summer. We do not promise a figure.
What will it cost?
Film starts at about £60 per square metre for entry-level ranges. We give a fixed price after seeing the glass.
Can you fit office window film anywhere in the North West?
Yes. We fit office window film in Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Merseyside, Lancashire and Cumbria, from the city offices of Manchester, Salford, Liverpool, Chester, Preston, Lancaster and Carlisle to business parks and converted mills in between. Fitting is done out of hours, and large floors are planned in stages.
