A window in a room where privacy matters
Bathroom windows are usually small, and that is exactly why they are easy to overlook. A clear one, even a high or small one, can be seen from next door or the garden, and nobody wants that in a shower room.
A blind in a bathroom gets damp and mouldy, which is a good reason for avoiding one.
Frosted film on the glass
We frosted the window, which blocks the view in both directions and still lets daylight in. The interior photo shows it against the tiled walls: a soft, even finish with light coming through.
Frosted film does not mind moisture, which makes it better suited to a bathroom than a blind.
A short job
This was a single small window, so the job was quick. We cleaned it, applied the film and trimmed it neatly to the edge of the glass and the white frame.
Because it is a shower room, we mention that the film should be left to dry before the room is used heavily for steamy showers.
Privacy for good
The window now looks like frosted glass, and there is nothing to draw or close. It is a very simple fix, and a long-lasting one.

Does steam damage the film?
No. Frosted film is made for bathrooms. We would wait for it to dry before heavy use of the room.
Can I still open the window?
Yes. The film goes on the glass, and the window opens as before.
Is it cheaper than frosted glass?
Usually, and quicker. It keeps your existing window and can be removed later.
