Commercial Window Tinting in Nantwich: Timber-Framed Frontages, Independent Shops and Hospitality
Businesses choose commercial window tinting in Nantwich to cut glare, ease the load on air conditioning, protect stock from fading and give meeting rooms and ground floors some privacy. Frosted film gives privacy that holds when the lights are on, which mirror films cannot. UV protection film protects stock and window displays from bleaching, and is nearly invisible on the glass.
Film changes how a building looks, so we show samples on your own glass in your own light. Every fitter is an employee of ours and DBS checked. Crewe, Acton and Wrenbury and the neighbouring towns are all part of our regular patch.

Commercial window film in Nantwich: the local picture
Nantwich is a market town of black-and-white timbered buildings, Georgian terraces and narrow streets, with independent shops, cafes, pubs and professional offices along them. Almost the whole of the centre is protected, and many of the buildings are listed.
That puts consent and appearance at the front of any conversation about film, and near-clear films at the front of the answer.
The short answer
In a timber-framed market town the film that works is near-clear and applied inside. It slows fading and takes some heat out, and it leaves the glass looking like glass. Anything reflective on a listed frontage needs the council first.

- Pillory Street and the market
- Independent shops and cafes in the old streets have displays facing the sun. Clear UV film and fine lettering suit them, and listed frontages need consent checked.
- Nantwich Show
- The Nantwich Show brings big crowds each July. We avoid those dates and fit around trading, so shopfronts and window displays are ready for the busy days.
Nantwich window film: how the price works
The rate is per square metre of glass: entry-level film starts at about £60 and Solar Gard at £95, with the fitting included. Here is the sum for three typical jobs. A single shopfront is worth roughly 8 m², so about £480 to £760; a salon or cafe front is roughly 10 m², about £600 to £950; and a surgery's front windows is roughly 9 m², about £540 to £855.
Your figure will depend on pane sizes, access and film choice, and we are happy to show how each changes it. The survey costs nothing, and the quote that follows is fixed. For a sense of scale, see our Birchwood job. Our window film prices page goes into more detail and has a calculator.
Nantwich commercial window film questions
Do I need consent to film a listed building?
Possibly, for a film that changes its appearance. A near-clear film changes it far less. Rules differ by building and by council. Reversible film applied to the inside of the glass is often acceptable, but listed status, a conservation area or a lease can change that. We tell you at the survey where we think consent may be needed, and we provide data sheets and a work description to support an application.
Will film show from the street?
A near-clear film hardly does. A reflective film does. If appearance from the road matters, we choose the lightest film that does the job and show you samples against the real window.
Can you fit outside opening hours?
Yes. Working outside hours is the best way to do commercial glass: no customers or staff in the way, no loss of trade and a cleaner finish. We plan the visit with you at the survey and fix the dates in writing.
Can the film be removed if we move or the lease ends?
Yes. On older glass, careful removal matters, and we use heat or steam rather than aggressive scraping. Film can be removed, usually leaving the glass clean, which makes it a sensible choice for leased premises. See our film removal and replacement service, and we can fit again at your next premises.
Do you offer a free survey for businesses in Nantwich?
Yes. For older or listed buildings, the survey is where we talk through consent and the choice of near-clear film. We visit Nantwich premises for free, measure the glass, check access and site rules, and hold samples against your windows. You then receive one fixed written quote and a proposed programme, with no obligation. For small jobs, photos can give a first price before the visit.
