Commercial Window Tinting in Blackpool: Hotels, Guest Houses, Bars, Arcades and Seafront Shops
We provide commercial window tinting in Blackpool for offices, shops, schools, surgeries, venues and industrial sites, fitted to the glass you already have and arranged around when you trade. Blackout film blocks light completely, which suits studios, treatment rooms and bedrooms in hotels and guest houses. Anti-graffiti film is a sacrificial layer on shopfront glass that takes scratches and etching, so the pane beneath is spared and the film is replaced instead.
Landlords and managing agents usually ask three things: is it removable, what is its warranty and who is insured, and we answer all three in writing. Warranty is ten years or more on most films, issued by the manufacturer. From Bispham, Cleveleys and South Shore out to the edges of Lancashire, the process is the same.

Window film for Blackpool businesses: what we find locally
Blackpool is the biggest seaside resort in the North West, and the commercial glass is the glass of a town that sells holidays: hotels and guest houses on every street behind the front, arcades, bars, restaurants and gift shops, and the large attractions. It is busy, bright and lit up at night.
For this kind of trade, film does three things better than most: it gives guests privacy at street level, darkens bedrooms for sleepers, and carries the brand.
Four kinds of Blackpool premises
Hotels and guest houses
Bedrooms at street level, bright street light, sea glare in the lounge. Blackout and frosted film. See blackout and whiteout film.
Bars and arcades
Lit frontages that carry the brand, glass that gets tagged. Graphics and anti-graffiti film. See anti-graffiti film.
Seafront shops
Displays fading in strong sun. UV film. See UV and anti-fade film.
Cafes and restaurants
Window tables with sun off the sea. Light solar film. See hospitality film.
Bedrooms that stay dark
Guests who arrive on a summer night find a bedroom lit by street light and sea-front glare, and curtains that never quite meet. Blackout film on the glass blocks the light directly, in a single clean layer, and for bedrooms that need privacy but also some daylight, frosted film is the middle way. Both are cheaper and tidier than replacing curtains in every room of a guest house, and neither can be left open.

Costs for window tinting in Blackpool
Film is priced per square metre, and the fitting is part of that price. Expect from about £60 for entry-level film and £95 for Solar Gard. Take a single shopfront: at about 8 m² that is £480 to £760. A salon or cafe front is closer to 10 m², so £600 to £950, and a classroom's windows at about 20 m² runs from £1,200 to £1,900.
After a free survey you get one fixed price in writing. Shopfronts are usually a short job, and fitting before opening does not cost extra. A comparable job is our Chorley one. There is an estimator on the window film prices page if you want to try your own sizes.
Blackpool commercial window film questions
Can you film guest-house bedrooms?
Yes. Blackout film for darkness, frosted for privacy with light. Blackout and frosted film for privacy and darkness. Blackout film blocks street light for guests, and frosted film gives privacy with daylight.
Can film stop tagging?
A sacrificial film takes the damage and is replaced. It does not stop vandals, but it makes the damage cheap to put right. Security film does not make glass unbreakable, but it holds a cracked pane in its frame, so a quick smash becomes a slow, noisy struggle. Safety film holds fragments together to reduce injury if glass breaks.
Can you fit in the off-season?
Yes. It is the best time, and we plan around your bookings. Working outside hours is the best way to do commercial glass: no customers or staff in the way, no loss of trade and a cleaner finish. We plan the visit with you at the survey and fix the dates in writing.
How long does commercial window film last?
Most professionally fitted film outlasts a decade. A shopfront in Blackpool sees sun all day, which is the toughest test film faces and the one it is designed for. The films we use are covered by manufacturer's warranties of 10 years or more, and in our experience Solar Gard in particular often keeps going beyond its warranty. Sun exposure, cleaning habits and glass type all play a part.
Can the film be removed if we move or the lease ends?
Film is not permanent. Shops in Blackpool are often leased, and removable film is one of the few improvements you can take with you. It can be taken off cleanly, and many customers choose to replace a worn or unsuitable film with a better-matched one. If you lease the property or expect to move, that flexibility is part of the appeal. See film removal and replacement.
Do you offer a free survey for businesses in Blackpool?
A visit to measure up and show samples costs nothing, and you are under no obligation afterwards. For a shop, we can survey outside trading hours so you are not disturbed. You get one price in writing that does not change.
